EA3105 Reinforced Concrete
Course overview:
This is a continuation of Mechanics and Strength of materials that undertaken in their previous year (I.e. Second year) program and provides students with necessary tools to solve analytical problems and adequately complete design tasks.
The purpose of Concrete Design course is to develop the generic skills using material relevant to the study of Engineering Design. Examples are included from engineering applications that show the relevance of the course materials and reinforce the use of advanced concrete design techniques in architectural engineering together with applications. The prescribed course will enable students to become familiar with the reinforced concrete design tools required to solve these and similar engineering related problems.
The knowledge of designing concrete structure skills derived from this course form a necessary base to analytical and design concepts encountered in the program. The course covers many of the designing concrete such as Beams, Slab, Columns and Footings topics that will be used for a number of courses in later years of their Program.Course objective:
