EBME B215H Electronic Circuits
Learning Outcomes
Upon
successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Use key circuit analysis methods such as Ohm's law, Kirchhoff’s voltage and current laws, Thevenin's and Norton's theorems and superposition.
- Design, simulate, and analyze different BJT and JFET biasing circuits.
- Use small-signal models (r-parameter) for analyzing and designing BJT amplifier circuits.
- Analyze the frequency response characteristics of small-signal BJT amplifier circuits.
- Identify the different types of MOSFETs including power MOSFETs and understand their working principles.
- Understand how class B and class-AB BJT power amplifier circuits work.
- Employ circuit simulation tools (Multisim) to design and test electronic circuits virtually before physical implementation.
- Work in teams to measure and evaluate circuit performance using lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
- Communicate technical findings clearly through written reports.
